Fitness Should Fit Your Life

Fitness became an important part of my life when I was 15. After graduating from the University of Maryland with a degree in business, I followed what felt like the natural path into corporate America. I worked as a district manager for both a grocery store and a self-storage company. The part I enjoyed most was teaching—helping someone learn, improve, and eventually succeed without needing me beside them every step of the way.

In 2018, I realized corporate America was not the right fit for me. I had spent years helping friends and family with fitness, and I knew I wanted to build a career around something I genuinely enjoyed. I became a personal trainer at MINT, a small boutique gym where I was already a member and felt at home. When COVID changed how people worked, lived, and exercised, my clients showed me how adaptable fitness could be. We trained in parks, built simple home gyms, and moved sessions online. That experience became the foundation of vFit: personal training designed to fit into real life.

Who I Work With

I work best with busy professionals who know their health matters but do not want to spend their limited time figuring out every workout themselves. Many of my clients are highly driven people who have built successful careers, families, and lives—and want fitness to support those things rather than compete with them.

I also enjoy working with retired and older clients. It is incredibly rewarding to watch someone realize that their body can still become stronger, steadier, and more capable. I coach adults of different ages, backgrounds, and experience levels, and I adapt training as life changes—from pregnancy and parenthood to retirement, travel, injuries, and demanding work schedules.

How I Coach

My clients describe my coaching as encouraging, adaptable, and varied. I keep sessions fresh without making them random, and I build programs around the person in front of me rather than forcing everyone through the same template. I can be patient and supportive, but I am also direct when someone needs a push.

I do not believe progress only counts when the weight gets heavier. Progress can mean moving without back pain, recovering faster, balancing more confidently, or simply showing up during a difficult week. One former client with frozen shoulder realized she could finally hold a glass in one hand and pour water with the other. Another improved his balance after major knee reconstruction. A client who began with osteoporosis and osteopenia later became free of both and strong enough to lift heavy weights and play with her grandchildren. Those practical changes are why I coach.

Experience and Credentials

My training includes certifications in senior fitness, golf fitness, behavior change, and prenatal/postpartum training through NASM and PROnatal Fitness. Just as important, years of coaching have taught me how to listen, investigate what a client actually needs, and adjust the plan without losing sight of the bigger goal.

Your situation may feel unique—and in many ways it is. But whether you are busy, dealing with old aches, returning after time away, or simply unsure where to begin, I have likely helped someone work through something similar. We will build a plan around your life, your equipment, and the way you want to feel.
